The crew of SAMAQAN: Water Stories share their views. As we approach a third season launch in 2013, our crew reflects upon the meaning of the series. They consider the past, present and future.

In Webisode 16.1 from Samaqan.ca, we travel along the Athabasca River, from the mountain glaciers to Fort Mckay. Along the way, we hear Clayton Thomas-Muller and Mike Orr discuss the Alberta Tar Sands and environmental change.

In Webisode 14.1 from Samaqan.ca, we take a deeper look at life in Hartley Bay’s Seaweed camp: Kiel. We hear from Daniel and Mona Danes about their traditional connection to water, and how their Gitga’at way of life is threatened by the proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway Project.

In Webisode 15.1 from Samaqan.ca, we leave Hartley Bay with our tour guide Marven Robinson. During our tour we come across one of the species at risk, if an oil spill were to occur on the coast of British Columbia. Enjoy our cast of characters known as, Sea Lions.
